| My first build 2006 |
In 2006 an article I read in a magazine while I sat in an airport introduced me to the world of Second Life, Two weeks later I was home and created my SL account.
I spent my first year in SL buying and selling land and soon found out that making a few improvements such as trees and terraforming made my lots much more marketable. As my building skills improved I soon found I needed more land to indulge my desire to create and build. Before I knew it I had two full sims and a hefty tier bill.
I needed an offset to costs so I decided to develop some residential housing rentals, shopping malls and one of the largest wedding venues in SL. The wedding business was great fun, though catering to an international clientele meant me and my staff often had schedules running into the wee hours. After a year I realized I couldn’t keep up with the daily SL and lead an RL life so it was time to move into something not so time consuming.
In 2008 I decided to open my first store as a content creator and sim designer and to this day that has been the best fit for me. I can work in SL as I have the time, and sim build jobs have a much more open time line.
I enjoy all the time I spend in SL and have made some wonderful friends over the years.
